Application for the presentation of your photos in the «Photo Arena»

Photo Münsingen invites photographers to apply for the “Photo Arena” at Photo Münsingen 2026.

The "Photo Arena" is a circular, darkened screen in the Münsingen parish hall. During the Photo Münsingen exhibition, 10 photo series of 12 images each will be presented. The series will be shown every two minutes, so each series will be shown three times per hour.

Conditions of Participation

• The topic can be chosen freely.
• Participation is open to all photographers, regardless of whether they are professional or amateur. Members of the organizing committee and the Photo Münsingen Photo Exhibitions Department are excluded.
• The application must be submitted before October 31, 2025 respectively.
• A maximum of two photo series may be submitted per person. Each photo series must contain 12 images.
• By submitting your application, you accept the terms and conditions regarding “image rights, usage rights and data protection” of Photo Münsingen.

 Image specifications

• Image size: The images are displayed on screens with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels (16:9, landscape format). This results in:
  Maximum image size: width 3840 pixels, height 2160 pixels
  It is also possible to have a width of 3840 pixels and a height of less than 2160 pixels (narrow panorama format) or a height of 2160 pixels and a width of less than 3840 pixels (landscape, square, portrait format).
  Images with maximum size are shown full screen, with other formats a black border appears on two sides.
• File format: JPG
• Color space: sRGB
• File name: firstname_name_image series_sequence number
  (e.g. Max_Pattern_FormsOfNature_01, Max_Pattern_FormsOfNature_02, etc.)

Application documents

Please provide the following for your application:

• 12 images (see «Image specifications» for specifications)
• In a text document: 
  • Contact details: first name, last name and email address
  • Title of the picture series
  • Short text about the photo series (max. 200 words)
  • Image number of the cover image of the series
  • If your images were predominantly generated using AI, please indicate this.

If your photo series is selected for the "Photo Arena," we will also ask you to send us a portrait photo of yourself in 2:3 portrait format (at least 600x900 pixels, JPG file format, sRGB color space) and a short text about yourself (max. 200 words). Please have this ready.
