The proportion of the older generation is increasing, but receives little attention in art and often negatively charged descriptions in the media. What could be interesting there?
I would like to counteract this with my portraits. There are so many fascinating and fun-loving senior citizens who, despite their often difficult lives, show a grateful and humorous side of old age and also live it. Listening to them and looking at their faces is an enrichment. For me, they are impressive and exemplary personalities who deserve a platform!

Raised in Schwarzenbach. The small rural village in the Emmental offered a lot of inspiration in its simplicity.
Besides stone carving, photography is my first passion. After the usual photography while traveling, I was encouraged to join a photography club. As a result, I only joined EFFVAS Bern when I was over 40, which is how I got my start in photography. In order to gain more knowledge and experience, I specifically attended courses and workshops (Hungary, Germany and Arles FR), which all strengthened me. Three semesters (evening class) for photography at the School of Design in Bern were helpful.
Soon I was looking for my own way with portrait photography and nudes, especially soft and aesthetic eroticism. Group and individual exhibitions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland followed. I was also able to record successes in competition photography at home and abroad.
I am fascinated by landscapes with their graphic drawings, as well as interesting forms that play with light and colour. But my preference is always black and white photography.
I get my inspiration from silence, nature and exhibitions.
My goal is to capture a moment, an emotion, an eye contact or an unexpected smile.
