Studio photography with dogs has been on my mind for a long time. Over time, the series "Faces of Loyalty" was created. In fact, it continues to grow. The reduced composition as well as the color and lighting design of the images allow the viewer to concentrate fully on the animal. The series is my declaration of love to all dogs, big and small; but also to all other animals.
I am equally fascinated by dogs in motion. In the forest or by the water, allowing dogs to live out their urge to move and capturing this dynamic in pictures never ceases to amaze me. The series of pictures "Movements of Freedom" was taken on the beach in Belgium and Switzerland.

Those of you who grew up in a family with dogs know that this bond lasts a lifetime. Or as Loriot once said, "A life without a dog is possible, but pointless." In my case, this is absolutely true! Dogs are my passion.
I had my first photographic experiences while travelling to faraway countries, and I always felt and still feel a strong attraction to the animal world. Back home, it was our dog who enabled me to discover the fascination and passion for studio photography. The concept of the chair makes it possible to bring the uniqueness of each animal to the fore.
The animals are as unique as the shootings. Working with the animals in a new, unknown environment is always a great experience. The animals don't pretend - they show themselves as they are.
