For his exhibition, Valentin Felder is presenting a selection of photographs and film clips from his project "The Gear in the Sand". This opens a window to Felder's fascinating, dystopian world in which people perish because of their greed and machines begin to feel. The images and clips, which were painstakingly created by hand over years, reflect the passionate commitment and unique creativity that Felder puts into every detail of his work. Visitors can look forward to exclusive insights into the artistic and craft processes behind this extraordinary project and have the opportunity to enter into dialogue with the artist.

Valentin Felder
Valentin Felder is a passionate stop motion animator, artist and inventor from Leipzig. In his passion project, the short film "The Gear in the Sand", he transforms hand-made figures and sets into a lively, dystopian steampunk world in which people and machines operate in a fascinating field of tension. Felder is self-taught in numerous craft techniques and has established himself in the maker community. His works are the expression of a unique artistic approach that combines technical innovation with artistic creativity. In a time when it is easy to feel isolated from society or even from physical reality itself, he advocates the creation of works in which the traces of craftsmanship make the creative process visible in the final product.
