Hans Schär
I grew up in Gais in the canton of Appenzell and spent my school days there. After my apprenticeship as a mechanic, I went to the Bern region, where I still live today. My job as a train driver gave me a lot of free time and variety in life. So I was able to devote myself mainly to photography with a wide variety of specialist areas, but in recent years I have been particularly fascinated by the art of drops.
I learned my knowledge of drop photography through courses, self-study and spent several days in Austria with Daniel Nimmervoll, a specialist in high-speed photography, where I did individual coaching. Through various exhibitions in my area, the regional press also became aware of my artful droplet pictures.
The Eisenbahner Foto Club Bern gave me the opportunity to PHOTOSUISSE to participate, which earned me Best Color Image in the Experimental category in 2022.
Since very few people know this photo technique, I would like to introduce it to you in more detail.
