Kurt Bader (AFIAP / ELDAF)

My interest in photography began when I was allowed to use my father's camera as a teenager. I developed and enlarged the pictures in my own darkroom. Black and white photography was always my passion and I enjoyed experimenting with it.

In 1974 I was a founding member of the AARSO photo club in Zofingen. Within the club, we members were able to compete three times a year in themed competitions, where I was quite successful. This encouraged me to take part in national and international competitions and also earned recognition and success there.

In 2006 I switched from analog to digital photography. This of course presupposed that I dealt with the computer processing of the pictures. In spite of all the technology, however, the image composition and message are still most important to me. My favorite subjects are people, as well as nudes and the spontaneous capture of surprising moments and situations.

1984	International award with the title AFIAP (Artiste FIAP de la Fédération Internationale de l'art Photographique)
1985	Award "Photographer of the Year" in the combination of black / white and the color of Switzerland. Amateur Photographers Association SAPV
1992	Photo exhibition in the town house with 4 professional photographers from Olten and the surrounding area
1996	Admission to the honor box of German amateur photographers ELDAF as 4th Swiss
1996 – 2000 Feet	President of the AARSO photo club Honorary member of AARSO and PHOTOSUISSE
1997	The PHOTOSUISSE “Photographer of the Year” award for the second time
1997 – 1999 Feet	Participation in the photo exhibition "Pakistan-Switzerland" in various cities in Pakistan and Switzerland
