Streets of mine

I was born in post-war Iran and was one of the many refugees who fled to Europe in the 90s. In Leipzig I got to know the German language and local literature. In Hamburg the film and the power of the visual narrative. For five years now I have been living and working as a freelance photographer with a focus on portrait and documentary photography in Switzerland. Photography is my way of organizing the world around me, and the camera my powerful instrument for integrating and understanding my fellow human beings. It creates distance where closeness would come close to me and forces closeness on me where I would otherwise take distance.
