Myanmar Monks (Burma)
About 90% of the Myanmar people are Buddhists. Faith permeates every facet of everyday life. Each village has its own monastery, whose shaved and dark red monks are worn in awe by society. Every Burmese spends at least a week, a month or a year in a monastery once in their life - mostly in their childhood or adolescence.
