Cyberized...
Dependence or symbiosis?

What today's technology means to us is not always what we hoped it would be.

The enormous pressure that can be triggered by technology is in stark contrast to the opportunity to develop creatively or even to be able to carry out a serious operation with the help of digital imaging: digitalization brings great cause for discussion.

Where there is a lot of light, there is also shadow:
Internet addiction, dependence on social media, displays of violence, distorted images of beauty or the complete loss of reality are just a few examples of the dark side of rapidly advancing technology.

But if you turn to the sunny side, you will find supportive programs in the fields of medicine and industry, inspiration and motivation, find help from like-minded people, and be able to travel the whole world or even go beyond it. There are no limits to creativity and imagination!

This series shows how you can completely lose yourself in technology or be completely absorbed in it. It makes us aware of how it can support or imprison each of us.

Portrait Petra Angela Imhof

The photo artist Petra Angela Imhof, who grew up on Lake Thun, has always been very creative and, at the age of 29, has passionately found herself in her role as a photographer. As a trained make-up artist, she finds it easy to implement overall concepts and design them with a lot of liveliness.

From idea to image:
The development process for a creative project can either be spontaneous and quick or involve longer preparation phases. Under the artist name BeautifulDamages, she not only takes photos, she also creates the majority of her props and outfits herself: Petra Angela Imhof designs dresses, makes jewelry or accessories and creates make-up as well as complete styling for her shoots.
Inspired by pictures, books, films, nature, objects or people, creating dream worlds is one of the artist's greatest talents. The most important thing in her imagery is clearly her passion for details, combined with a pinch of humor.

They offer not only photo shoots for private individuals (including professional image editing), but also workshops or individual coaching for photography enthusiasts.

In 2020, she was named the best all-round photographer by PhotoSuisse and therefore Swiss photography champion.
