On December 16, 2006, the BIX jazz club, named after the jazz cornetist Bix Beiderbecke, opened in the heart of Stuttgart. Every year, well over 20.000 visitors take advantage of the offer to attend over 250 concerts by regional, national and international jazz greats. Jazz legends such as Wynton Marsalis, Joshua Redman, Omar Klein and Donald Harrison have done the honors, as have Ginger Baker, Brian Auger, Simon Phillips and John Patitucci. The modern, unique acoustics and the well-thought-out architecture create a very special atmosphere. Downbeat Magazine NY lists the club as one of the 50 best jazz clubs in the world.
My reference: I have been taking photos in this club since the BIX opened: on a voluntary basis when time permits. Over the years, three illustrated books and a calendar have been created.
From a pool of over half a million photographs, a selection of 110 motifs was put together for the exhibition, which took place in the “art district” of Stuttgart, and the accompanying illustrated book. In Switzerland I'll show a small excerpt of it.

“I was born in 1965 in Sonneberg, the Franconian part of Thuringia. I have been interested in photography since I was very young, which I largely owe to my father, who was an ambitious hobby photographer. I received my first camera as a gift when I was 10, and from then on it became my constant companion.”
After graduating from high school (1983) and studying audiovisual media (1990-95) in Stuttgart (Media University, diploma), he worked as a self-employed photographer and film producer at home and abroad, produced numerous books and has been a freelance lecturer in film and film for several years Photograph.
As a studio for photography and film production, we work for well-known national and international customers in the B2B and B2C sectors. We carry out digital and creative productions for image, product, advertising, travel, portrait and lifestyle photography. Our creative center is located in Ludwigsburg near Stuttgart.

Very passionate, quick and enthusiastic about a lot, not disturbed by (almost) anything, I cook a lot and love good wine, I do sports often, I listen to and collect music constantly (to the dismay of the family), I read a lot, I travel for my life I enjoy life and enjoy my free time with my family (very happily married and one son) and our friends.
